  body safe!
Body safe was good because i got to learn about myself more.it was good how the rhe educators where very easy to understand. the best thing about bodysafe was watching the videos that helped me to understand what to do in those situations.but now when someone asks me about body safe i can say that i know
and learnt that....
Consent: consent is a enthusiastic yes
Bystanders: shouldn't stand by and watch when someone isn't able say yes enthusiastically
Respect: the other persons answers even if its a no

  1. Kia ora Jayden,

Well done for remembering those key messages from BodySafe about Consent, Respect and Bystanders! Awesome!

It's great that you have identified the videos as a helpful learning tool in these lessons, I find that too, having a video makes some things easier to understand.

It's great to see you noted the age of consent in NZ is 16 years old. This is to protect young people from older people who might take advantage of a power difference. Remember that other restrictions on consent are if someone is too drunk or high or if there is any form or pressure, threat or force, someone can't consent.

    Well done!

  2. Kia ora Jayden!

Thanks so much for writing up this blog post - I really like that you've remembered that bystanders can help out when someone is not giving consent.

I'm glad that we were easy to understand, and that you got to learn about yourself more - that's always a good thing!

    Thanks Jayden,
    Laura - BodySafe educator :)
